Description The simplistic BR Lined Black fits the ex-GNoSR, ex-LNER D41 very well.

isn't this engine like Edwards basis?

In a word, no. These things worked almost exclusively on the GNoSR network in the Scottish highland; Edward is based on a FR K2 class, which makes much more sense given the location of Sodor in the RWS.

When it is finished, it will be. The LNER green livery is complete; the LNER black and GNoSR green and black liveries have yet to be finished. The BR version itself needs weathering.

I only wish Railworks didn't have a EULA where I couldn't put it in both games. Otherwise it would probably go in there at some time or another.

What's an EULA?

End User License Agreement.

Oh right. I hate to seem stupid, but what does this do to limit stuff? Just asking out of curiosity.

The EULA of Train Simulator(2014, that was the first EULA I happened to find) states that "The UGC must not be used in, or made available to, any other simulator software which is similar to or competes with the Software" (RW4 EULA: Part 9e). This means that anything that, say, I have made for Trainz, cannot legally be exported into Railworks and released. It's a rather annoying term.

Now hang on why is that? It's your content you can do whatever the heck you like with it. And tbh I'm sure DTG couldn't care less, but if you think they really would you can make some small mods to the mesh thus making it different to the trainz version such as moving the whistle 0.125 mm to the left would completly change it from the original mesh making the locos in question technically a new loco thus making you able to release it in RW and Trainz. It may seem unlikly but think about it the trainz version has for example the whistle dead center but the RW version has it 0.125 mm to the left making it unnoticable but also making it different to the original technically dubbing it a completly new locomotive. loads of msts locos have been pushed to RW by the reator or not and nothing has happened to them. Really the way I see it that specific part of the EULA is utter crap and is only put in to scare new content creators.
But that is just how I see it you can make your own choices mate.

Heh, either way I'd have to actually get TS2015 and figure out how to export Blender models there.
As for that part of the EULA being bollocks, it sure is! That workaround might be a little negligible; however I'm sure there are various other solutions such as, oh, I don't know, increasing detail? Besides, having one whistle dead center on either model would be a problem; it's off center to avoid the Ramsbottom valves on the GNoSR and early LNER versions.

Yeah tis a pain. But if you ask James Littlewood (ProblemProductions) He should be able to help with exporting And yeah I never even thought of adding more detail

trainboi In reply to cooldude7208 [2015-01-27 01:05:46 +0000 UTC]

Nope, LNER class D41, or Great North of Scotland Railway class S or T. To me personally it looks kinda like an SECR D; the T9s had a different looking cab, larger wheels and boiler, judging by photos. The GNoSR tender is the real giveaway, and the low-slung rod splasher.
