Love it. It's rare to see Sentinel Prime but he's one of my favorite Autobots. He's so badass in Megatron Origins. I hope we can see more of him in the future!

Hmm interesting. Although I will admit, given Megatron Origins I figured Sentinel Prime as more of a gun toting instrument of state oppression rather than a philosopher.
Regardless, this is a very good mosaic! Artwork is nice and solid, the writing is cleverly done. Hard to do a "twist" ending in a one pager but this comes about as close as possible.

You're absolutely right about Sentinel, but here we're ignoring that version and we're following the one described in The War Within miniseries.
We're trying to merge the two universes (War Within and the IDW stories by Simon Furman), explaining all the apparent mismatches (see [link] in the IDW forums for more continuity details).

Yes, Shockwave thinks that Omega used his high office to influence the selection of the new Prime (Omega is too noble to do that, but well this is what Shockwave would do, if he had the power to!).
Shockwave was a Cybertronian, because factions (Decepticons, Autobot, Ultracons) didn't exist yet.
The Autobot symbol is used just by the high offices, and it represents all the Cybertronians.

Who're the other guys in the third panel? Obviously Omega Supreme and Kup, and I think one's Impactor, but I don't know the other two.

You got them right, Kup and Ultra Impactor (see [link] ), we have a BIG story upcoming for him, provided we find enough artists).
The other are made up characters: in this age, most of our beloved G1 characters didn't exist (yet: see the upcoming full story about that).

True, we LOVE that huge and un-exploder territory. This is the second Mosaic about that era (the first being "Bitter Harvest"); very soon, another will follow ("Serpent in Heaven"), ending the "Omega trilogy".
After that, more piecese are at work: they feature very different subplot and characters: Grimlock, Jetfire, Bombshell, Megatron, Soundwave, the Cassette Combiners...
