Another personal piece. Something I started at the end of last year and it just took this long to finish things up (that's typically why I do busts for personal projects...even just a bust takes me months and months to finish because I'm so busy on all of my commercial work). This is a small piece, about 5.5" tall.I never really got to sculpt Leia in my day-job, except for two very minor tiny headsculpts that were too small to be anything good....Β so I wanted to do something unique and one-of-a-kind that would go in line with the Chewbacca I made this year too.
Really looking forward to celebrating the General in ep 8!

I was curious about the image of the unpainted sculpt compared to the painted version.
Did you change the nostrils after the photo of the unpainted?
The final is perfect and so many portraits I have seen, miss or soften the inner peaks of Carrie's nostrils.
They really are a distinguishing feature of hers.

The nostril shape probably just looks different due to the paint. I don't recall changing anything after those unpainted photos. It is true, that Carrie's nose is one of her most distinct features.

Thank you so much! I think the only thing I don't like much about a lot of Leia pieces is they lack Carrie's mischievous stuff... They're usually quite serious...You can hint at it while still maintaining the character...she was a delight, and the character has that.
