Description "Hello there old Goron friend. Do you like my new pet from Lanayru Province?" - King Farkos

Full name and other titles: The Zora King Farkos

Appearances: Ocarina of Time (canon) The Gerudo Wars (non-canon)

Design Notes: Sexy. Not really. My rendition of the Zora King, whom I named Farkos because I found it rather annoying they left him nameless in OoT. As you can tell he's still the lazy bum he was in his canon appearance based on the fact he has a wicked crab thing he rides around everywhere. Not only that but it looks like he got his hands on the Goron's Megaton hammer. *gasp* how did that happen?

Farkos... Would that be an homage to those farting sounds he makes when he moves?

He can't be that lazy, riding into battle, which makes him look a little badass.
I gotta assume he had the hammer as maybe an old peace gift from the Gorons... now to be used against them...
Hammer doesn't seem like a Zora weapon, but I guess it may for the king! Also awesome mount!
Can't wait to see all the new Zora cards!

Incidentally, mind if I use these studies for a Zelda set of "my" making? If so, thanks(I may have to use colorshift!!))

Naturally.
I probably wouldn't post 'em. Might send you them just so you see my thought process when I make cards.
Of cource, some of your characters I need to get to know better first!

I believe the giant crab is based on the boss Gohma from Oracle of Seasons, which is itself based off an earlier boss from the original legend of zelda game., save for having a large claw (making it more crab-like) and no longer being the mother of all Tektites.[link] )

I guess as the creature goes unnamed (species/animal name, not pet name), confusion can be avoided with the other types of Gohmas, though possibly the alternate spelling originally used, Ghoma.

I'm also guessing that King Farkos pet is a female, though I can't tell precisely from this angle and am only basing it on the fact that the boss it is based on gave birth during its boss fight several times.

Hmm yeah, that's probably it. I never realized it was spelled differently in the later games. I've always spelled it Gohma.

Not a Tektite sadly. Just a giant nameless crab.
