Description
Another Alternate Frog, this time the white-headed buffalo weaver frog, perching on dendrobium orchids. I can't get enough of the frogs with wings, and I'm a perennial sucker for orchids.Acrylic, 18 x 36. The original is lurking over my scanner, and is for sale, actually.

thats such an amazing image, its freaky yet at the same time it looks so right, frogs were just meant to have wings its looks so normal like it fits perfectly. fantastic composition and technique in general as well, i think thats what makes it so realistic and effective, fantastic work!

I really love all of your surreal work, but the frogs with wings just seem so cute and inventive that I had to make it a favorite. I love how it looks so realistic perched on the flowers, like the frog actually existed.

I love this one too. I've always been a bit of a sucker for frogs -- the only artwork I own (apart from a poster or two of scantily-clad women, purchased when I was young and foolish) is a print of a frog painting -- and the white-headed buffalo weaver frog is one of the prettier frogs around...
