Don't feel bad, best parts in the whole movie are 1) tongue stuck to pole 2) kid then inside with bandaged tongue 3) dogs invading home 4) them getting the leg lamp 5) the fuses burning up 6) Ralphie's dad getting the furnace to work. Rest is just a confusing and weird movie.
