sorry for my late reply x) i use a bamboo tablet and what ever program i can (mostly sai and photo shop though )

Ah, no problem. I mostly use Photoshop, but once you learn one, it becomes that much easier to learn the others. I recently made a tutorial of how I create some of my art. Hopefully it helps [link] , but what's best is finding a style that fits you . As always, it takes time and practice, lots of it. If there is one specific thing you'd like help on first, then that's fine by me.

Thanks so much. Roughly 10 hours or so. My basic routine is sketch->lineart->base colors->shading. For shading, well I use a combination of things , from small brushes to the burn/dodge tool, color replacement tool, layer properties, and more.

How do you remove the lines after? You just turn off the layer?

I keep the lines in but color and darken/lighten them in respect to the lighting and filled-in colors. Some people lower the opacity of the lines layer as well.

Pretty much. Instead of having a pure black or one color lineart, I color/shade it to go along with the other basic shading.
