Awesome painting. Seems you and I are in the same situation. I am currently studying Industrial design, so i am at an engineering school as well. Some of the things i study i will never get any use of, and they just eat my time, which i can otherwise spend for drawing. I know perfectly well how do you feel.

At first glance: Is it 3D or is it photomanipulation? *Looks* Digital Art / Paintings & Airbrushing / People / Sci-fi
You painted this on a computer? This is one of the greatest pieces of digital art I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing. I still can't quite grasp the idea of this being a digital painting. It's just so mind-blowing. The dimensions of the ears and tubes going into her neck, the shading of her skin, those mechanical cracks... Everything about this is so amazing. Even the smoky background is composited perfectly. Amazing work.
