I have the impression that she could suddenly catch the lance and easely snatch It from It and put him on the sand, but that she's too contemplative, maybye fatalist to do so. It seems that she has given up already, and that she's about to surrender. I think she will slowly remove the knife, throw It far away, then stand up to walk gently, the lance pointed on her back, right to his village.
She would be so beautiful, walking peacefully toward danger, while the little man walks behind her, calm and confident. He would smile during all this walk on the sand, realising that he caught jungle queen without a fight, and that she won't rebel herself now. At the entry of his village, I'd like to see him asking her to join her wrists together. He would let his lance fall on the sand, take some ropes and tie up her wrists while she's intensly fixing him... Still smiling, so proud of the surprise he's about to give to his people...

Is this part of the storyline? Then how did she get knocked down?

It doesn't fit. If it happened after she was on the zebra then her wrists would still show remnants of her bonds. If it happened when she was talking to the peaceful chieftain, it makes no sense as Jungle Girl went with their plan willingly. The best way it makes sense is he's the princess' guard and he got overzealous. He got mad Jungle Girl wasn't blindly obeying the princess and/or his wife was a Krall prisoner and he panicked she want moving fast enough.
