Description The kid was sitting alone on an extension part of the balcony at the market, I noticed she was holding something very tightly in her little hands...Her eyes possessed independent...jealously and consciously, she knew i was a stranger. I wasn't going to steal anything from her except for a glimpse of her possessive expression, mindfully and physically.

Yours is one of the best images I have enjoyed, not just on dA but even in the galleries that I haunt, searching for treasures. I created a collection of these faves called "humanities." I love these so very much and wish I owned them all.

I am writing to let you know that I have put your deviation in my "shoutbox" to be displayed with every journal I write. I doubt it will ever be removed unless you ask me to remove it.

Thank you for your art! Thank you deeply. It waters my soul.

PS: Ok some might get this message on more than one deviation LOL You got "that" style!

Beautiful b&w Kat! I love the backgorund and how soft it is because it's out of focus. It's not too distracting either- the head of the young child is placed within the book perfectly! I also love the simplicity of it all too.

I love the DOF and I also love the framing. I loves estudio but I disagree with his critique I love this for many reasons..including the shadow play and the intensity of emotions. I saw this in the photos coming from you when you first came home. I see a few of them like it in the series in my message center right now.

Awesome.

Paragraph 1:

Well balanced in the center, although i don't quite say nicely done but enough to just showcase the main subject. The empty space above may seemed intentionally added in, but under the circumstances it's totally understandable. The depth however really makes this kid to fear for as she seemed to strike out in 3D on the shot about to scratch your face with her nimble fingers..

Paragraph 2:
Indeed I have to agree with some others here this has its moments of cuteness. The details of her hoodie and the dress are so intricate that i kinda doubt it's factory-made.

Paragraph 3:
Heh, she does look like she's doing what you mentioned, even being protective over the produce she's sitting on. The dirty smudge on her face does make her look badass even, especially with that smirk. Priceless Kodak moment!

Something about the compositions of this image and Satisfaction, sitting next to each other in my devwatch-- the way the negative spaces work together, the span of years measured between the two subjects-- just leaves me awestruck; they're independently powerful pieces, but in combination, they're overwhelming...

Excellent frame, well balanced and exposed. Other than that, damn. This is so cute - yet powerful.
