Description Isle of the Dead (German: Die Toteninsel) is the best known painting of Swiss Symbolist artist Arnold Böcklin (1827–1901). Prints of the work were very popular in central Europe in the early 20th century — Vladimir Nabokov observed that they were to be "found in every Berlin home."[1] Freud, Lenin, and Clemenceau all had prints of it in their offices.
Böcklin produced several different versions of the mysterious painting between 1880 and 1886. (source: Wikipedia)
__________________________________________

This humble homage to Böcklin was created through 3 different steps.

First step: I painted the basic relief map on a white paper, then scanned it and used imported it in Bryce 5.5.

Second step: edition, basic texturing and 3d rendering of the base picture with Bryce.

Third Step: massive post-work in PS (texturing, lightning, colors, additional features)

It was a very pleasant work for me to do, and i may decline it in different versions, like Böcklin did
