I believe this is the best portrait I have done to date. Using a photo ref found here [link] -- I sat down after being bumbed about my last submission and set out to do a proper face. Really put Painter 8 to the test tonight and I am very pleased with the results. I hope you all enjoy.This is a portrait of Ziyi Zhang a chinese actress most famous for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
I was also going to put some bamboo into this painting but I found it distracting from the figure and decided to just go with the muted green backdrop.
Again I am so happy to have finally painted something that looks real lol. I hope that this wasn't a fluke and I can do more portraits like this.
Painter 8 / Wacom Pad / Photoshop ( only for white boarder ) / 4 hours work.
