This is a photo I captured during an early morning photo jaunt at my dad's house in Oregon, in 2004. I had looked at this photo a number of times, but it wasn't until recently that I really took a good look at it and realized how much I love it. This photo has many of my favorite elements about Oregon, and makes me feel a little home sick...Related content

Where in Oregon are you from? I am from McMinnville... I miss Oregon a lot.. I have to make a trip at least once a year to get my fix or I go crazy here.. I need mountains and huge pine trees in my view!

actually i am from vancouver, wa/portland area. i lived back and forth between the two states. i miss it a lot! i miss the beauty and the culture. but i just couldn't handle the weather anymore. so i do the same thing, i make a trip out there once a year....usually in the summer so i can escape from the heat of the desert.

That is a nice area... I really like Portland, and the whole vibe of the NW... I don't mind the weather, I even miss it a lot of the time.
At least you still have mountains nearby.. in Florida there are none, unless you count the huge garbage dumps

One very impressive picture.
A fine example of how the rule of thirds, used loosely, can give impressive results. The atmospheric feel of the picture is stuning, the eye is taken in a diagonal direction by the sweep of the clouds and then, drops down with the sunrays on the beautifull landscape.
