Description This photo was taken on October 12th 2002. This I'm really proud of. I was working all day on a gloomy rainy day. When I left I could see that the sun was going to creep out a bit. I drove into the country and turned down a side road and caught a great shot of the sun screaming through the sky. It was as if it had waited all day to have it's presence known.

Thank you very much. Whenever I think a normal sunset is so beautiful.. I only have to see one where the sun peeks below a storm front cover, and you have an environment that is like no other.

Cooooooool. I just have to drive out of town and I'm in red barn country. That's why I pay more attention to the white and brick style barns. They're so unique.

Sorry to hear that. I suppose if I was away, I'd be home sick too. For right now, I'm taking homeland for granted.

Haha, never mind that. I can't remember what I ate for dinner last night, let alone what happened TWO years ago

Just west of the city South of mine. If that makes sense. I used to work in the city. This shot was taken less than a year ago and sadly the field where I shot it was transformed into a big car lot for a new dealership, but worst of all, the barn stands no longer. I feel good now that I took this. Because now it's not only for the sunset. Thank you very much for your comments.

Incredible... I've seen the same happen to my hometown, which is growing exponentially by now. I remember when I was just a kid (well, I still am, at least in my mind) it had around 10,000 people living there, and it was surrounded by incredible green fields and some beautiful landscapes... The relative proximity to Portugal's capital (well, 65 miles away, which nowadays is nothing) has made it a very desirable place to live, concrete blocks have grown like mushroom everywhere.

Even so, they've made a great job of integrating what has been a main feature of the (small) city for a long time... they've upgraded infrastructures, yet still managed to keep it very green and fresh. As I said elsewhere, I'll be visiting the parental units this weekend, and I'll take a few pictures.
