Description Jealous?

More from my collection of conquered cultures, featuring Germany who donated these trophies in two wars to the Allies and eventually America'a collectors.

Nazism/Communism/Progressivism are evil political viewpoint that intrinsically against free speech, the right to bear arms, and the RIGHT to make it through the capitalist system. Keep in mind, no one could keep weapons like I do under an authoritarian state.
OK, I'm off my soapbox...

I've been getting tons of request from dA members for more of my German arms so this is more of the teaser....

Also showed is 2 p38 holsters (hardshell and softshell) and two c96 holsters.

...The MP40 is Airsoft, but there are four other guns. There is a real C96 and a real P38 next to airsoft copies.

I like to own airsoft copies for many of my guns and I don't generally take pictures but I figured it would be useful to those considering the hobby.

The magazines even fit in eachother and the handles will fit on the other guns to.

Can you tell what of the four lower guns is real?

Krylon silver spraypaint sprayed from about 6 feet away.

spikerommel [2010-05-05 04:31:09 +0000 UTC]

The top two pistols are the airsoft replicas. I spy gas recharge ports on the bottom of the magazines for both the C1896 and P1938. I know because I own a GBB P1908 Parabellum in both standard and Artillerie models.

Very good!!! You are correct. I like to get airsoft copies of my expensive originals because then I can run about and enjoying shooting folks with them, sans the jail sentence.

spikerommel In reply to vonmeer [2010-05-07 12:26:08 +0000 UTC]

Aye. the GBBs are quite intimidating as well compared to their springy counterparts though. Full metal with 400-something fps is quite nice just for fun. And no risk of collateral... unless it's something delicate like... a laptop screen

I was doing an airsoft tactical game, and running with a full auto airsoft tommygun, and a guy jumped out from behind a tree about 10foot from me and I instinctively shot him in the mouth breaking his front tooth (breaking it at the root).

His wife and kids did not seem to see the humor of it and I felt horrible..though now it's rather amusing.

Nothing beats shooting real guns though.

ouch lol. I used to play paintball a while back. we didn't have a chrono to check our markers, and i shot my friend in his pod pack. a PAINTBALL broke straight through the pod on both sides before hitting him in the gut. we immediately stopped to inspect the damage and he looked at me and said, "dude, i think you're shooting just a LITTLE hot."

Nice collection but directly relating the right to bear arms to not being a totalitarian regime? A bit whacked out mate.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

vonmeer In reply to SimonLMoore [2010-04-06 03:05:38 +0000 UTC]

Not whacked out, many things indicate totalitarian governments.

A government that has gun control often limits common tools like knives and even BB guns.

Look at the UK, a very totalitarian nation that needs an authority figure (like an employer, teacher, etc) to sign a form to own certain items.

Most nations are moving towards totalitarianism, look at New York City to banning trans-fats in food and wanting to BAN salt in restaurants!!!

Life is a series of slippery slopes and rights removed are rarely restored. Everyone has a right to bear arms and to self defense.

Regardless of what a government dictates we have have the right to use whatever gun, car, food, game or what have you in any way that does not infringe upon another's rights.

I'll be you never expected to see a government to attempt to ban Salt in a restaurant, the world is whacked...

So true.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

SimonLMoore In reply to vonmeer [2010-04-06 09:10:42 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, banning salt in a restaurant is a better example, that is whacked, I'm familiar with the slippery slope of which you speak, the Road to Serfdom is an excellent text on the subject if you haven't read it.

I just think ownership of a gun is a very poor example as the US is and for some time has been one of few countries to allow a very free possession of firearms, that doesn't make the rest of the world totalitarian. I would say a better judge is infringement on liberties such as freedom of speech, as witnessed by McCarthyism in the USA during the 1950s and more recently the huge swing towards stifling Political Correctness across the globe.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

vonmeer In reply to Jblask [2010-03-18 18:56:23 +0000 UTC]

The two on the left (under the MP 40) are P38, the two on the right under the MP40 barrel are C96 Broom handled Mausers. The Knife is a standard WWII German soldiers fighting knife.

Jblask In reply to vonmeer [2010-03-19 15:35:54 +0000 UTC]

Okay thanks. I saw the C96 in one of the Resident Evil games (you can even get the stock) but never knew the name. I kinda surprised they used a gun tht old since the series is pretty recent.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

vonmeer In reply to Jblask [2010-03-19 18:06:51 +0000 UTC]

It's old, the C96 comes from 1896!!! They were modified in the 1920s when a submachine gun variant came out.

You will notice in Star Wars, Han Solo's blaster is a C96 with a few add ons.
