Originally this was more specific, but I realized that every fandom has (A) porn and (B) people who don't want to see their favorite stuff in it, so I went back and removed a word.
I'm a furry and I hate yiff, and the reason why I hate fur porn is that anthropomorphic art is actually a very deep-rooted love of mine and seeing people getting off to it just makes me sad. I respect that some people like it and I respect that some people like really really creepy versions of it, heck I'm even being very hypocritical here, but I personally don't want to see my childhood raped right before my very eyes just because someone thinks it's sexy or funny.
And the Hell of it is furries aren't the only ones like this and even the people who believe the stereotypes know that. Star Trek, the Lord of the Rings, anime and science fiction, every fandom that people have treasured, respected, and adored since childhood is slowly being fed into the porn machine.
