So I was going for a Final Fantasy style Elf prince. I wanted it to be fairly realistic in a fantasy sorta way and... it was hard. Lesson learnt - use ref right from the start when painting realism and be very VERY clear in your mind about what you are painting. I jumped in too quick without a thought for design.I do like this technique for painting armour. We'll have to try more of that.
