Description I was looking through the tutorials here on DA, and I noticed that there seemed to very few that showed how to make some mountains. So that's when I decided to make my own tutorial on how I use to make mountains in Photoshop.

Feel free to tell me if you use this tutorial for something.

Also, if something is unclear (first read it again...I'm no good at explaining things) then if it still doesn't make any sense: ask me.

Nice. It would seem that you have improved on my original concept and made it better.

Actually You PROBABLY shouldn't merge the layers , just keep the the same (Since it won't make any difference but If you'd like you can change it later) and then just save/export it as a PNG (not JPEG, Since that just messes
EVERYTHING up. It's like the internet explorer of file types! )

Warran In reply to naturalbeautiii [2010-04-01 08:02:21 +0000 UTC]

I first have to ask what version of Photoshop you are using

naturalbeautiii In reply to Warran [2010-04-01 17:51:11 +0000 UTC]

elements 2, but i found the dodge tool.

Warran In reply to naturalbeautiii [2010-04-04 19:13:59 +0000 UTC]

Ah, not too familiar with the Elements versions; seems like they are just a Diet version of the main photshop series. so sadly I cannot help you much if you run into any more problems

Hey thanks! I'm actually doing my mountains manually, not with a program, but This really helped me see how they go together.

Rain, water, and now mountains? Whatever next?

I'd make a separate thumbnail image like you did for your other two tutorials were I you.
