...I'll seek the information out for myself.

I'm totally okay with whatever you want to believe. I'm totally okay if there are civil debates and discussions about religion with others.

What I'm not okay with is blatant preaching shoving religion down others' throats/forced conversion/hate campaigns all over deviantArt. If I want to have religion preached to me- no matter what it may be, I'd seek out a religious institution/place of worship for that. I don't come to this website to get preached at or heckled to convert to __________ religion/belief system.

In regards to the stamp, the same can be said about parking lots.

Agreed. I am a christian, mind you, yet these posts on things doing with hell and Satan just... ugh...
I've had enough.  -_-

I'm scared of those people. It's like you're just minding your own business and then suddenly:
"I KNOW WE ALL ARE FILTHY SINNERS."

The thing is, if I want to find out more about something, I'll seek the information out for myself. Nobody likes being force-fed anything they're not interested in.

I think you just described school. ._.

The difference is, the material taught at school is supposed to be (at least hopefully) factual knowledge people should know; whether the student enjoys it or not is another story. Without at least the basics in core subjects (mathematics, science, language), it's essentially impossible to get by in life.

On the other hand, religion and spirituality is subjective and up to the individual to determine what they believe.

True. I do agree with you on religion being someone's choice, though. I mean, I'm Christian, but I don't go around throwing bibles at people's faces.

Agreed, as soon as I posted the fact that I'm pagan on deviantart (after someone asked mind you) I got atleast 5-6 messages about how I'm going to burn in hell for eternity

...and don't even get me started on when I posted a picture supporting gay rights.

Who is to say what is and what isn't for sure, especially concerning spirituality and religion? I mean, no one group of people has concrete, undeniable proof for or against something. Until someone can present to me irrefutable evidence of something, I'm going to question just about everything to my dying breath.

Indeed.

Agreed, but in my case, using some spirituality has helped me in my life (though that said most of it could probably be catagorized under the placebo effect). Though, question everything...everything.

Aye.

Personally, I'm an Agnostic Theist- I think there could very well be something greater than humanity somewhere out there. However, I don't think any one group of people know for sure who or what it is.

I guess you could say I subscribe to bits and pieces of Eastern religions/philosophies as well, including the gist of karma and finding balance in life.

Yea, I feel like maybe god came down in different forms to people so people could understand him/her/it in a way.. Or at least that's what my mom theorizes.

I believe everything has to have a balance. There would be no good without evil, and no evil without good. And karma just seems kinda logical if you think about it. You be an ass to someone, someone's gunna be an ass to you, and if you are kind to someone, someone will be kind to you.
