Argue all you want if so-and-so band/musician/DJ/producer is nu-post-punk-brostep-hardcore-technical-stoner-death-symphonic-metalcore-rock (no, not actually a recognized subgenre of music as far as I know, but you know what I mean), I honestly don't care what they're called if they sound good.

My question is, why is it so important for people to wage e-war over what musical subgenre something is? I think it's more fun if people pipe down, stop being self-righteous and elitist over minute details like that and enjoy the music, whatever it may be. It would make a lot of music fandoms at least a tiny bit more tolerable.
