I do love your work and I think it is beautiful, but I am just trying to mentally break this down to what his skeleton would look like and it feels the horns and bony protrusions on his back are some what β¦ odd.Β
Compositionally the boney bits on his back balance with his hind legs, so that works out alright and they may attach to the scapula in some manner. That might work. But the way you have drawn the head makes it look like a smaller head on a longer, thick, muscular neck. This is reinforced by the broad shoulders. So, are those horns coming out of his neck vertebra? Or are they attached to his shoulders somehow?Β
The fur is beautiful and I love the little spots here and there amid the stripes. And the etching on the claws and boney bits looks sweet. The way it is viewed I imagine it has more of a skeletal structure like a hyena, the slightly shorter back legs quadruped thing. But the outward bending elbows and wide shoulders are a more humanoid shape, giving it the feel it could raise up to it's hind legs for short bits.Β
It is definitely an interesting design that will give my brain something to chew over for a while and for that I thank you. I also admit with full honesty that your work is orders of magnitude better than mine, so feel free to disregard any criticisms I give.Β

I do a fair amount of skeletal structure when time is allowed, but often time nothing is more important to the final feeling it may offer. However, i will never throw away the importance of making things more believable. Thank you for your dissecting. =]

Impressive, but it doesn't settle with me. I've been used to the simple white tiger in Chinese mythology and Baihu/Byakko for the Shin Megami Tensei series (one of my favorite demons in that series).
You did a good job, it's just something I'm not used to. It's not your fault.

well, if i was better with drawing animals, i'd convey the feeling of animal better, this is too superficial. it bears the look of a tiger but doesnt have the essence of a tiger, if you know what i mean. =]

yeah...it seems like it could be closer to an anthro-morphic kind of tiger, one that could easily stand up on it's hinds legs and just grab a spear to rampage through people. ^^' There used to be an old book series that helped in showing of how to draw multitudes of different animals, but I can't remember the name of that series. T^T still you have epic work, regardless, so no telling yourself that you are anything less than that.

Well, I generally do 3d works, so it doesn't do too much for the manner of making a lot of creativity and maneuvering, but I can try for the one that is for September if I manage not to be able to gain any winnings of it. xD but no problem at all.
