Description "The Fiend & his Familiar"

Based on characters in M.R. James classic horror short story "Count Magnus", which you can read here: en.wikisource.org/wiki/Ghost_S…

The fiend is Count Magnus De la Gardie, and the familiar is... well... the thing with the tentacles, an entity of some kind that ol' Magnus acquired while on a 'Black Pilgrimage' to the cursed city of Chorazin.

Haven't read this one yet. Thanks for the link. Will read it on the subway tomorrow. Great image. Looks like anime.  It almost looks like a poster for a really weird buddy comedy^^

Lmao that would be an incredibly weird buddy comedy that's a hilarious thought though. I'm glad you dig the pic. Definitely check out the story - its one of James' better tales for sure. Please feel free to share your thoughts about it when you're finished reading it.

Wow, thank you very much for the kind words, I really really appreciate it a lot!

Horror is probably my favorite genre and I love the old classics. Do have any favorite horror stories or authors in particular? Any that you think might be worth checking out or perhaps to use as inspiration for another piece?

i'm not sure about a favourite horror story, but Chris Priestley's 'tales of terror' series has a special place in my heart as it's the first horror book(s) i read. (v nice illustrations too!)
