EDIT: adjusted contrastbecause it is a quick little fun piece, not my grandest best piece of work.

it was painted from scratch, meaning just sketching with colors and greys on a off-tone camvas until something came up.
3 1/2 hours total.
This was an exercise in restraint on contrast. I used the darkest and almost brightest shade in the beginning of the piece, and avoided going much darker or brighter throughout.

This "not your greatest" piece of work is impressive in the aesthetic sense and quite provocative in its content, especially when one contemplates the myth of the kitsune lover.

I bought a slightly different version of this piece from you at Comicon. In it, she is wearing a red hood. While I like this piece very much and almost got it, I think the contrast created by the red hood made a slightly better composition.

It is nicely done, your use of color is very impressive as are all of your lines. A little more work on the foxes and the chin of the girl. but otherwise an exceleltntly done peice

In a bit of trivia I've been reading a lot about this myth. It may be kind of interesting to point out that there is a web browser named after this myth which is called "Mozilla Firefox".

Yeah, there's an entry in Wikipedia on the Kitsune I've been reading and some one has been adding snippets more of information. Grant it, it is Wikipedia so there can be inaccuracies in information, but it still is a "lead" of information. I've been told by a tech that Mozilla has less advertisemnts than any other browser. The internet is also a great example of how the Kitsune can "bend time".
That myth also carries through a video game if you think about "Tails" from Sonic the Hedge Hog. These two references don't grow the extra tails but I'll even go you one further in that Zorro the outlaw hero is a male form of Kitsune and so is Robin Hood also called "Reynard the fox". Both being "ladies men" and being criminals with a heart. Kitsune ultimately being a dichotomy of an entity doing both bad and good. Robin Hood steals from the rich and gives to the poor. He is a rough and tumble guy but ultimately has a great deal of respect for women just like Zorro.
The bad version of the fox myth would be the guy called "Gilles De Rais" going by the nickname or alias of "Mr.Fox".
