Description
The Everglades National Park is the only place where you can see both the American alligator and the American crocodile co-exist with each other. Although they're similar, the American alligator mouth its jaws with only the upper-teeth, while the American crocodile closes its mouth with both the upper and lower teeth. While American alligators live only in the southeastern US, American crocodiles are widespread throughout Central and South America. The American crocodile is listed as vulnerable, but the American alligator is listed as least concern.
