Description Here are two crocodilians that are sympatric in the Ganges river; the mugger crocodile and the Indian gharial. Mugger crocodiles have sharp teeth to kill and rip its large victims' flesh apart. Gharials also have sharp teeth, but compared to muggers, they mainly prey on fish. The gharial is listed as critically endangered, while the mugger crocodile is listed as vulnerable.
