Meaning: (Nevara) Snowfall, *Neva) snow and a name of a Russian river
Gender: female
Species: Ice spirit
Age: NA (appears in mid twenties)
Height: 6'0” (spirit form) 4'10” (weapon form)
Personality: Nevara is rather used to being invisible to most people, meaning she is more used being ignored than social interaction, especially living intelligent things, like humans. She believes she curses things (due to freezing them) and she distances herself from things and people unless she feels necessary. However, those who can see her, Nevara is rather curious and amused by and will easily display her personality.
She is rather blunt, calm, and emotionless; with a simple pokerface being her default emotion. She only shows emotion and expression when they are strong emotions. However, behind this poker face is a more emotional being. She is rather empathetic and tends to think about things other than herself; mainly the big picture. She can be rather caring but, in certain situations, she may risk lives if she feels it is needed. However, some emotional impacts can impair her judgement. She has a very practical version of logic, she can understand simple emotions, as well as making mistakes, and the natural order of things. However, complex emotions and beings, like humans, Nevara is unable to truly comprehend.

General Abilities: Nevara, being an ice spirit, Nevara was the ability to cause a drop in temperature around her, even more so than other ghosts or spirits (to the point that direct contact or being very close can cause a light sheet of ice to form). She has a core temperature of -18 Celsius in both of her forms.

Freezing abilities: She also has the ability to generate ice manipulation, thought nothing truly severe. Mainly this is forming ice at her touch and cold winds. Her power increased depending on the temperature. (Icicles and such are hard to maintain if it is detached from her or in contact of her energy, it will only work in cold places.)
Spirit Form: Nevara is seen in her human form, but is unable to be seen or heard by some, only appearing to a select few. The aspects that can increase seeing Nevara and other elementals: trauma (serious incident/near death experience), psychic abilities, overexposure to her, sensitivity to spirits, affinity to a certain element (for Nevara it would have water or ice, it doesn't work if its any other element). Ghosts and spirits can see her easily. She cannot be affected by physical attacks, as she is a ghost, nor can she interact with someone or something. (Hugging them will only have her pass through and her give them quite a chill.)
Weaknesses to this: Cannot really help in a fight, cannot be seen and heard.

Weapon Form: Able to be seen by all in her spear form. By using water vapour in the air and freezing it into the shape of a spear. Despite this form being physical and able to be seen by anyone, she is only able to speak to those who can see her. Her spear is rather special and is not easy to break. Since she integrates herself within the ice temporarily, the ice is strengthened to a stability of regular metal. If the spear is dulled, chipped, or spearhead breaks off, her abilities allow her to reform the spear using water vapour. Only very hot flames can deform it, but will not completely melt it. However, there is a weak point in the weapon, where her core is. This part takes longest to heal, but if it is cracked, the weapon will become weaker. If it is broken, the spear will dissolve almost immediately. Nevara needs to refocus and reappear, as she would be disoriented from being forced out of this form, which will cause her to vanish from the scene for about 3-5 minutes before reappearing in spirit form again.
Weaknesses overall: Cannot change forms in hot weather (stays in spirit form)
-still can't do anything without someone as a partner
History: Nevara was not an ice spirit when she came to the world, instead being born a water spirit of a small river. Unfortunately, a water spirit would die if they left the water, not even if it was raining. Nevertheless, she was satisfied with this and enjoyed the world for some time and what it had to offer, meeting a variety of animals, fish, and seasons. Unfortunately, one winter day came when a child fell through the cracks of her river. Seeing it as unfair for this life to be snatched away so quickly, Nevara decided to save the child. The child survived, however, Nevara encountered a being soon after. Death had been cheated that day by nature itself. This caused Death to pull her out and leave her to die. The water spirit froze over, and instead became an ice spirit. Nevara soon learned this was permanent, she could never return to the water nor would she see the other seasons again. She also learned that anything she got near would be either frozen over or a thin layer of ice would appear. It didn't take long for her to consider herself cursed. However, she never regretted what she did and decided to try to protect the one thing she held dear; her home. By doing so, the snow and the cold never left the woods, freezing it into an eternal winter. She saw peace for many years.... until one day....

-Nevara started to develop her ice abilities after she started believing she was cursed, she eventually realized the power was stronger if she kept her own energy in it. She has tried it some time to time over the years, and modelled the spear that she transforms into after the weapons she has been before that were owned by hunters.

- Nevara hasn't seen grass or anything but snow, ice and trees for many years

-Nevara will be curious of anyone who can see her

-Everyone can see the spear, not everyone can see the spirit
- Nevara has never been human
-If the surrounding temperature is too hot, she is unable to change into her spear form and must remain in spirit form. However, the warmest she can get is -1 degrees. When she is this temperature, she will pull up her hood and shiver, trying to cool herself down. (Its the opposite effect we do to keep warm when we are cold, as she is supposed to be cold.)

Design Fun fact: Darker parts of Nevara's outfit is in reference to Black Ice, a transparent ice that is known to be on roads, making it appear to meld into the road and look black. (I took this to a literal stand point). Her skin and eyes reference normal ice.
