Because Clo canβt forget her first love! C;(ok, let me explain this: I love Transformers, ok? But I suck at drawing mechanical beings, plus I prefer to concentrate my efforts on human anatomy... That's why I've always stuck with humanformers... C;
I didn't draw anything like that in ages, and my last (scrapped) human Sunstreaker goes back to more than a year ago (it's this one: [link] OMG)... So yeah. )

Don't worry not everyone is good at drawing at any type of Robots. When I do movie verse drawing I stay human form cause I'm not good drawing movie verse. G1 is okay since they are more boxy.

What's there to explain?! My first love was Sideswipe....and Prowl...and Jazz...and Springer...and Starscream...and Skywarp...and Thundercracker. I even named my first car after Jazz. 
Now...I demand to know where Sideswipe is. Should I go looking for him?! ....Is he in my closet? He's in my closet isn't he?!
I love the relaxed pose, and I love his little belt...and his tummy.... Did I mention I like his tummy? And his hair! but his tummy is very nice.

Anyway, I'm so happy you like it! X3 The hair especially, because I've struggled a bit to find the "perfect" (for me, anyway) hairstyle, since I wanted something long-ish, and I've tried to give him different styles (bangs, a more golden colour, etc.) , but they didn't work really well, in my opinion...
And yay for the tummy! It was kinda funny practicing visible anatomy again! C:

I think his hair fits him perfectly. It reminds me of Brad Pit from Interview with a Vampire. The dark on the sides with the blond streaks seem to fit perfectly for him.

And nope, you're not alone! I name everything, but at the moment only my laptop and my phone (Starscream) are Transformers-related! C;
You know, when I think about their human designs, I always try to stick with something "realistic" but that might remind people of their mech-forms, so for me Sunny is blond, Sides has got red hair, Blue has red streaks (like his chevron) etc...
As for the practice, I totally get what you mean, because I (used to, hopefully) do the same. But in truth if you never practice the character you want to draw, you're never going to master his traits! C; So don't be afraid, if you don't like the result you don't have to show it to anyone, but still, it will help you to understand what you need to concentrate on to make your drawing better! C:
