For Jade, because muntjacs are awesome. Because Jade is awesome. Because, as Jade noted, there are not nearly enough muntjacs here. And because Mu is awesome.
Sorry, I know his markings are not completely perfect but I tried.
And if anyone dare complain about him being in the anthro category, he's there because he is in fact an anthro muntjac. I just did a very subtle version of his anthro-ness.
Mu belongs to Jade.

Cool picture, I agree on the lack of fans for this deer. The horns are awsome. I can't tell how this could possibly be anthro, but whatever.

The character itself is normally anthro to begin with. I only very slightly kept some human characteristics, like the bone and muscle structure in the front limbs, and a bit in the expression. Overall he's pretty close to a normal muntjac deer though.

I've always thought that munts were cool and yes there is definentally not enough of them up here. I can kinda tell that he is an anthro just cuz of his muscle structure, very cool picture

Everything you said is true - why aren't there more muntjacs being drawn, they're like something from a pre-historic illustration or something, they awesome.

There are a few species of deer that have these large 'fangs.' I think they use them more for fighting and intimidation then anything.
This particular one is a very tiny species of deer called a muntjac deer.

Muntjac deer are like these oddly cute little throwbacks.. they look so sweet with those evil teeth!
