Awww she does look quite sad, doesn't she? Always gorgeous though. I think the white dress really suits her well. Brings out the gorgeous color of her resin and face-up.

She does look good in white. Also you don't have to worry about the fabric bleeding. Mina is stained from the black clothes she had on.

Ooo not good. Kat's head cap was stained too from having a darker wig on but a mr.clean magic eraser took most of it off, thankfully, did you try using one on Mina?

Never heard of it. But I will look for it now.

Oh yeah those are wonderful and cheap (I get the target or walmart brand and for a box of 4 huge ones I only pay like 2 or 3 dollars. I break them up though into smaller pieces and one box lasts for a long time. Been about 6 months now.)

I looked them up online and will go to the store tomorrow and try to get some.

I bought some today so I will try it out. I'll let you know if it works. She's stained pretty bad.

Hopefully that helps. It took most of the staining off of Kat's head so I don't see why it wouldn't.

It worked really well! Got off about 90% and I think with more time at it I could get that us to 95-98%. So I'm very pleased. Thanks so much for the tip. I never would have thought to try something like that.

I'm so glad it worked!! Yeah those things are absolutely amazing! I found out about them from watching a couple doll-care youtube videos and I was scared to try it at first, because I thought it'd ruin the doll but it doesn't and it works. The only thing is, if you aren't careful around the face, it will take off the face-up.

I wouldn't try anything on the face, but usually when you get staining it's from clothing. My dolls don't have painting on the bodies so this is a great tip. I was really upset when I took Mina's outfit off and say the staining. It was very bad. Made me want to throw away all my dark doll clothes. Unfortunately I really like the black stuff, but now I'm too paranoid to use it on them.

Well now you can still use the clothing without worrying too much about the staining.

It makes me feel a lot better about it, but I think I will also keep an eye on humidity levels and using protective undergarments too. I don't know how the greyskin dolls would work out with scrubbing.

That's true...I don't know if it would damage their color or not...good point. I should be careful with what I put on Jasper then. (He has blue resin)

I think the issue is leaving the clothing on for long periods of time with humid conditions. I hadn't changed her outfit in a long time because I didn't really have other clothes except the white dress which I forgot about.

I'm being very careful about it now. In fact I'm working on assembling a summer vs winter wardrobe, so I can take the higher summer humidity into consideration, use light wigs and clothes, darker stuff when the heat is on in the house and the air is drier. but seriously I can't thank you enough for that tip about the magic eraser. I was really sick about Mina.

Oh it's no problem at all! I am so glad it worked to get most of it off. And if you wet it a little bit (like just a few drops) it might help to get some of the remaining off of her. It helps too for inside the joints when they get all dusty or scuffed up.

Thanks. I was really pleased with how beautiful she is when I got her. She was an ebay find, one of the dolls on my want list. I got a good deal on her. Then not long after the camera died. So I didn't play with my dolls. I'll be starting up again now.
