Raphael is cool but crude.My least favorite of the turtles (especially now that they've made him so goddamn emo). I wanted to change up the character a bit and based him off those old 80s steroid inflated action heroes. In fact, I got this pose directly off of a picture of Rambo.
P.S. Look! Turtle knees! You don't see those very often.

I know, besides, any fan of TMNT can't say didn't like the 80's show but just the comic, because that is how the ninja turtles were famous world wide.
But after reading the original comics, I can say I like more the original approach

Hehe, So Lets see. Donny is Christopher walken, Raph is Clint eastwood.. I would have to say that we go with Either Bill Pullman or CJ Thyne ( Who both sound very mature) for Leo And as to Mikey? Well either Brad pitt or The guy that played Kumar ( as in Harold and Kumar.) Mikey always reminds me of some sort of stoner with horrible munchies for some reason. Sure he was a ' party dude', but It doesnt mean you have to be sober to be such xD

Oh really? Urgh. There were some times where he got real bitchy (especially that final showdown with Leo) where I got REALLY annoyed with him. I did like the vigilante aspect though.

I've been trying to wait until you were done with all the turtles before I began my commentary, but this rendition of Raphael has forced me into action. The expression he has is very true to the character, and his elbow bracers and sparring gloves (they're sparring gloves, right?) really leave an impact. They imply that he takes his training seriously and passionately. Very nice work, Dooks. Your shapes still amaze me, by the way. I was inspired by your gallery to try something new with a recent submission, I really dig how you do your thing.

No. They aren't supposed to be sparring gloves, but it's a similar idea. It's supposed to be those fingerless workout gloves that everybody used to think was so awesome in the 80s and early 90s.

And the worst part is, it's not just Raph who has to put up with that garbage! It's MANY characters who have to deal with it! From becoming parodies of themselves, to becoming pale imitations of their former selves, From "The Simpsons", to "Buffy the vampire slayer" to "Family Guy" writers seem to think that change is good even when it's bad just so long as it's not TOO obvious, but the problem is, it won't stop there! today we're getting "Emo-Raph", tomorrow we're getting "obsessive-compulsive-Leo" then "Too-dumb-to-live-Mike" and last but certainly not least, 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
