Description Ok, this is the second page of concept artwork for my new US Army themed Imperial Guard project. On this page I worked out the details of the armor and decided to make the armor have a MOLLE system for putting ammo pouches on.

The way that this would work is really simple and along the same lines as the fake picatanny rail systems on the weapons. Basically the pouches have slots on the back the same size and spacing as the strips of fake MOLLE loops onto which the pouches are glued. If I can pull it off the effect will be awesome visually as well as fully and easily customizable!

I've also decided to design an auto-pistol for the regiment as it seemed both in character and I was having a really hard time coming up with a cool laspistol deisgn. As for an actual Close Combat Weapon swords just don't fit with anything based off of the modern US Military, but we do love our knives. Thus has been born the chain-knife, which I intend to make multiple wielding arms for to increase variety. As the notes on the page suggest the stances used will be largely copied from the Metal Gear Solid series as they make pistol/knife fighting look damned cool!

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I'm putting the same weird L shaped thing on the back of the armor to make any backpacks fully compatible with the Cadian plastics.

You're refering to the Harries method?

Lemme rephrase that statement....there are three major/standard methods of wielding a pistol

Weaver, Isosceles, and Harries method

Weaver and Isosceles are the most common and is taught/practised amongst most civilians(ie police and regular joe)

Harries method on the other hand is taught to those that will get caught in CQB-type situations, or for those that prefer to hold something like a flashlight alongside the pistol.

You are looking at the Harries method, which was copied/implemented in MGS4, am I right?

Ah yes then, the harries method it is. I didn't know that it was called that but I was taught to use it in certain situations by the Army in addition to the normal military method (which I think is the Isosceles method, with one foot behind and out to the side and the other straight out in front, hunching forwards to absorb recoil.). Both of those methods will be employed in the sculpts.

Neat, engineers perform a vital function. Sadly my only experience with them today was the 19th engineers out of fort knox, they are the problem children of that post and caused us a lot of headaches.

If you could achieve the customizable vest theme it would fantastic! The autopistol looks great(laser/flashlight module?). Have you considered submachineguns? For personal defense weapons, the HK MP7 is the meanest I've seen. The P90 is also a good choice.

Hmm, I hadn't thought of smgs but why not make some. Thanks for the idea, they'd be cool for command sectiions/sgts/vehicle crews.
