Yeah, so, the other day I was staring at some doodles that I did, and I started really thinking about how Bolt walks with his wonky leg and what that would look like. And then I thought, "What if I animated it?" So I did.

To be clear, I've never animated before. I know it's rough. I know some of the movement looks weird. And I know that some of the head/body shape isn't consistent. But, to be honest, I'm sort of proud of how it came out, considering that I've never done this before, had no idea what I was doing, and just sort of threw myself into the deep end. I don't know anything about tweening or stuff like that, so yeah, it's very, very rough. But Bolt moves! It's a miracle!

Anyway, because of his injury, Bolt can't fully extend his back left leg. When he stands, he holds it up, because it's most comfortable. When he walks, though, he walks on the top of the hoof, without the whole hoof actually stretching out to meet the ground. This gives him a sort of choppy limp. He can run, but not very fast, and doesn't really use that leg at all when he runs.

Maybe I'll animate his run cycle some day. Probably not for a while though.
