It's almost October, so you know what that means--it's Christmastime! Well, at least according to some craft stores, anyways.Has anyone ever seen this movie? I feel like it's gained sort of a cult following in recent years, as all of us Millennials who originally saw it on VHSs probably rented from Blockbuster are now old enough to buy it (or download it illegally) in hopes of reliving the days when our biggest worry was that Billy on the playground said Santa's not real. Good times.
I first saw "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer-The Movie" when I was a little girl and fell in love with it. Ever since then it's been a guilty pleasure for me. I pull the DVD out every year around Christmas and watch it again. I like this version even better than the original version with the stop-motion puppets. Don't get me wrong--it's no masterpiece. But it's adorable in that 90s low-budget animated children's movie way, where it tries much harder than it has any reason to. And I just love Rudolph and Zoey. They're so cute.

I like this version better than the 1964-puppet version too. (Sure the songs in that original version's great, which includes 'There's Always Tomorrow', but the 1998's 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' is better.)

I do have a soft spot for "There's Always Tomorrow", but I'm also a sucker for the ending song from the '98 one, "We Can Make It". I know it's cheesy, but I love it.

You know I have not seen this movie in 15 years. I do remember it being one of my favorite Christmas movie when I was a kid. Now it feels like the kid inside me wants to see it once again this December. By the way I recently done a vector of Rudolph

I agree too. I liked the songs in it as well. All very cute. (Though one of the biggest reasons I like it more, is that I have never been a fan of stop-motion.)
But yes. Guilty pleasure for me as well. Perhaps we should stream and watch it together lol.

I love this movie! I love this artwork! Same here, I never knew about this movie, until I saw images from it. I fell in love with it before even seeing it. I finally had my chance on seeing it after getting if for Christmas, from would you not believe it, Santa! I did so much artwork from this film after that, because I love the style. This is a great take of the Rudolph story.
My only regret is never having the chance to see it in theatres, because back then I was scared of dark rooms.

Nice work. I was 15 when it came out and bought it on DVD 10 years ago. Still watch it every year. It's a good movie.

Probably. I miss Blockbuster and Rogers Video. It was nice when you could rent a movie and not have to give your credit card number online. Oh well.
