Stepping along through my old archives, we come to-AH HOLY CRAP!? A MILLION HP!!? YA GOTTA BE KIDDIN' ME!!Ahem, well, anyway, I remember making this a while back as a follow up to my Chrono Trigger poster project. I needed something new to jump on, so I thought about one of my other favorite RPGs. I immediately had a recollection of some of the toughest RPG bosses I had ever faced, and realized how little attention they received for artwork. I decided to take a dive and work on a WEAPON poster for my trip to Animazement, and with really no idea of how it would turn out compositionally, I think it worked out well. At most places I take it to, it's apprently been the only WEAPON artwork for miles, which is both good and bad. I remember really having an appreciation for their designs while working on this, in the same vein of the research I did on the Eva pic, and I'm still pretty partial to the linework I made for them. Now if only I could find it...
Oh yeah, and feel free the give this pic the middle finger, it's deserved. BOOYAH!

nope, I am making an rpg maker vx ace game where the WEAPONs are the main characters. Β I am coming at it from the angle that the weapons were humans back when Jenova appeared. Β Along the way the Cetra decided to change them from defenders of their kingdom of ancient times to defenders of the planet.

Thanks! Ah geez, what was his name...Sapphire?! Yeah, I think it was Sapphire. He was the guy that attacked Junon. Getting decent grabs of him was ridiculously difficult at the time, so his body's gotta be like like 40% made up in my drawing.

I only ever played a demo of FFVII, but I have a guidebook. Remember the underwater WEAPON? If you so much as sneeze on it the first time around, it'll instantly make mincemeat out of you. Talk about a cheap boss.

what were they called again?
Flying = Ultima
Defeated at Midgar = Diamond (?)
Gold saucer = Ruby
Underwater = Emerald
Defeated at Junon = ?
This is some great shit, there aren't many references on it... you should redraw this one and edit it in a Photo-program even more ! ( photoshop, Paintshop? )
