Again, another posting of my favourite piece of sculpture located back home in the northeast of England (gateshead) 'Angel Of The North'. The lil person giving the scale is Vicky my partner. I'm not sure if i should have posted this or not. I'm not entirely happy with it. It has a few issues i dont feel 100% about but i thought i'd put it up anyway.Related content

Its a lovely sculpture, i was a bit wary of it when it was first built but i've warmed to it now. When i drive back from Belgium it aint half a welcome sight coming up the A1 after driving 500 miles from Antwerp, belgium lol. Thanks for lookin'

I think it's beautiful. It seems to divide good and evil as the left side has much more sunlight, while the right is dark and mysterious.

Simply an incredible shot with the contrast and the vibrant colors... there's such a feeling of drama, yes, but more grandeur... such an eloquent statement on the nature of life... *kudos*

the clouds are absolutely fabulous. it has a very primal human "i am going to strap wings on to my back and jump off a cliff and expect to fly" naivete feel to it. and i love that. very good. i'm not sure if that's what you are going for... but i can only tell you what i get.

Glad you liked my shot, this shot should fill the screen widthwise and if i put it up larger then some peeps running 1024X768 would have to scroll and it wouldn't give them the overall effect. Its the only down point with ultra wide shots.

I think you were right to post this. What a beautiful shot of what has got to be THE best piece of sculpture I have seen in many years. I love Angel Of The North. The 1st time I drove past it on the motorway I was just blown away by it. Your use of your partner and the perspective of the shot really capture the scale of the sculpture. The sky is just gorgeous.

Just love the sky on this, the way the tones move from light to dark is great. I'm not completely sure, but the sky looks just slightly too blurred just above and to the right of the figure...hardly noticable though so maybe its my imagination. But the angle is very good, and the colors are wonderful. I definitely think it was worth posting.

you should have psoted it and i'm glad you did.. the scale is fantastic, the silhouette and angle are perfect as well. the sky looks so great, is this a panoramic shot?
