I haven't heard anything about another one this year, but National Coming Out Day is on October 11...

Yeah, I'd like to see another one this year too, but I think the one last year was mostly in response to all the media coverage of the multiple suicides... It was kind of a grassroots thing in response to that.
There's also the Day Of Silence in April, and there's a Pink Shirt Day in February for general bullying awareness. There might be more, but those are the ones I know about, anyway.

What does the "Q" stand for? I know the LGBT is lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders...And I thought the color was only purple for "purple spirit day" or at least, that's what I found out on this day in 2010 during Lunch (half day thru already)...if I'd known before I would've shown my support for sure!

The "Q" is for "questioning." I dunno, it's pretty much optional, but a lady who ran a Gay-Straight Alliance I was a part of made a big deal out of including it, so now I do.

I think I saw three people at my school wearing purple, and they were all girls.
That's rather pathetic, considering this day was even talked about on the radio and whatnot; you'd think they'd've heard something. It's not difficult to plan an outfit based on a single colour. :/

Aww. :/ Well, at least somebody did it. It seems like there's been a lot of press coverage, but sometimes it's still easy to miss. I didn't even know the more "official" color was purple until yesterday. I thought it was pink. ^_^;;

Pink was Monday for breast cancer...at least the high schools and middle schools did that; I don't know if it was an "official" day or not, but pink is claimed by cancer awareness.

Apparently, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so there's sure to be a lot of pink floating around, too. I heard the pink for bullying awareness was something that started because of some kids who stood up for a classmate who was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Purple's a favorite/symbolic color for LGBTQ pride, though, so...
...I just wore both. Can't lose that way, I figured.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, yea. I've been seeing a lot of those ribbon things everywhere.
I haven't heard about the bullying, though. No one ever said that once a colour is "claimed" it's unusable, though, so it's interesting to see what groups use what.
Pink and purple are my favourite colours, so I wear a lot of both anyway. I'm showing support I didn't know I had! :'D

I just heard about it through Facebook. :'D I guess it might be somewhat less effective, though, if three different groups/causes decide to wear the same color for awareness on one day, since then it isn't clear which one you're supporting, or even if you're supporting any of them. Confusion, galore.

I'm not sure what else to say, I'm sick at the moment and kinda only half here. xD I really like the overall design. The colours and positioning of Kage and Torin and the words compliment each other well. I also really like the font you chose. Not sure how or why, but the semi-graininess is that even a word OTL of it really adds something to the urgency of the message.
I'm gonna purple everything up so hard today. D< Good thing I actually owns lots of purple.
