Kula and Chumvi from The Lion King (six new adventures) and I belive very much that they are in fact Kovu's real parents and that Zira and Scar stole him because Nuka wasn't good enough to be the future king and Scar wanted Kovu to be the heir, then to probably eliminate competition for the throne (and to prevent the rest of the pride finding out the truth) they most likely had the hyenas kill Kula and Chumvi. They probably did the same with Tama and Tojo, who I think are Vitani's real parents. We find Kula and Chumvi here playing innocently as young cubs, they were Nala's very good friends and helped her move on after Simba's supposed death. No criticism about Kovu and Vitani's real parents, or whatever you might think of Zira or Scar.
