(A improved version of my earlier Hungary map, and it is also set in the same timeline as my greater Federal Republic of Germany map)

PoD: 1930's

LORE: The treaty of Trianon still results in harsh losses for Hungary as in OTL, but in the 1930's, the government under Miklos Horthy would ally itself with the new Federal Republic of Germany, since both nations had common ground in seeking to reverse the injustices of Versailles and Trianon following the horrors of the Great War.

In 1939, following the German annexation of the Sudetenland, Hungary would also annex Southern Slovakia with German support, due to it's ethnic Hungarian majority.

During WW2, Hungary, along with Germany, would fight the Soviets, who had invaded Poland earlier. At the end of the war, Hungary would have the last laugh in regards to the Little Entente, as all of the Little Entente nations fell to communism, while Hungary remained non-communist.

Not only that, but Hungary would also gain Northern Transylvania as well as parts of Slovenia and Serbia during the war, saving many ethnic Hungarians there from communism.

Throughout the Cold War, Hungary would both host the Polish government-in-exile and also covertly support Polish anti-Soviet dissidents, since after all, people on both sides haven't forgotten about the old Hungarian-Polish friendship.

Nowadays, Hungary's living standards would rougly resemble those in OTL present-day Austria, since there was no communist rule to disrupt the economy.
