Aku no Tane is a closed species, which means that you can't make you own. You can get them buying directly from me, from trades or by people reselling theirs.

What is an "aku no tane"?

  From Japanese 悪の種 (aku no tane - species or seeds of evil) or just tanes, are demons that live as parasites in humans. A person can be infected by entering in their territory and being attacked by one. There are two types of attacks:

  While sleeping: The Tane waits the person fall asleep, patiently without being seen. When the person fall asleep, it use it's powers to make the person have a nightmare, this way creating a bond with it, making only s/he able to see it. Still during the sleep, the physical and psychological of the person is changed by the tane, in way to make it suffer. The tane will feed itself with the pain of the person while sleeping. Even if the human don't sleep, the tane will force it to happen with it's powers.

  Defensive/Aggressive: The tane use the venom in it's tail in the human when surprised with it's presence or in a way to defense it's territory/itself. The effect lasts from two to four days to appear. When they appear, the tane that infected the human will notice that people cannot see it anymore, and will start to search for the one it infected to start feeding itself. Since the infection by this way isn't controlled, the tane may not find it's host in time, having a chance that when it finds the human it's not enough weak to serve as an host. In this cases, there is a chance to the nightmare became a dream while the tane is feeding itself, and it's accidentally absorbed by the human, that gets the tane's powers (control dreams, get a venom tail and feed itself of other's pain - being a parasite) and sometimes traits of the tane (horns, extra eyes and arms like it's)

Types

  Regular - Can be find in almost every dark places. They die in a few minutes of exposition to sunlight.
  Flying - Mostly find in high places such as trees, caves, alleys and inside ceilings, they use their tail to better locomotion. Die in an hour of exposition to sun.
  Aquatic - Commonly mistaken by humans with fishes, they mainly live in deep fresh water. In really rare cases, they may go to the sewage or shallower waters to find a host more easily. They die immediately with sunlight exposition. When with a host, it haves to live in an aquarium or in a place that the host goes everyday (This is why they will mainly infect swimmers, fishers and people that somehow need to go to those places frequently)

Sub-types

Multiple - A mutation where a normal sized tane commands other smaller an eyeless tanes. The reason for this mutation is still unknown, but they seem to be weaker than normal aku no tanes. They live in groups from 3 to 8, and can't be in least than 1 km away of the leader. The smaller ones will always have the same characteristics of the leaders (type, sub-type and other traits)
Epic - Found in high mountains or underground big caves, this tanes are extremely rare and will attack any human that crosses it's way. The pain they cause is a lot times worse, and the host most of the times dies in less than two months after infected.
Absorbed - The human is stronger than the tane that tried to parasite it, and accidentally absorbs the tane while sleeping, getting it's powers, maybe some characteristics and a venomous tail.

Obligatory characteristics

- Red and glowing eyes;
- Open mouth with pointy teeth;
- Long and flexible tail, with a crescent moon in the tip;
- Black and roundish body.

Live expectancy

Aku no tanes, with exception to exposition to sunlight, are practically immortals. They can keep without feed for up to 300 human years. If they keep don't feeding itself they won't die, but their chance to be adsorbed grows 1% each 10 years that it doesn't get a host.

About the hosts

Skin alterations

After being infected the skin of the host will always suffer a kind of mutation. If the host gets physically hurt, gets a illness that changes something in the skin, gets a burn or things like it, these marks will never get off, but the pain they caused will.
  In other cases, the tane itself makes things grow in the host's body. The reason is uncertain, but people believe they think that since that are things humans like they will become calmer, letting the tane feed itself easily.
Unnatural skin colors are caused to make the host emotionally weaker and less self-confide.

Psychological alterations

Psychological alterations are a way to the tane "produce" more pain. What before was just a hobby or something the host liked to do, will now become an obsession. The person cannot live without it anymore.
Other psychological alternations are extreme phobias, development of psychic disorders, etc. There is no limit for what the aku no tane can cause here.

Who is infected?

People from 3 to 40 years old of any gender;
People with depression and high tendencies to suicide;
People with psychological illness;
People with physical deficiencies;

Is there a way to eliminate the parasite?

No. Once a person gets it, the only way of breaking the bond is by the death or absorbing the tane.
