Exactly, he's creepy in the most epic (and adorable) way imaginable! And yet people hate his guts for some reason...
What really irks me is that the same people who say they hate Near because he's creepy usually don't wait even a minute before fangirling over Mello, a man (or is he?) who's scary enough to terrify an -admittedly wimpy- eight foot tall, invincible insectoid monster into being his personal slave just by looking at it, even though he's the prettiest boy in existence, and all said insectoid monster would have to do to kill him would be to take the Death Note out of his hands and use it on him. Same for Light. Hell, plenty of people would probably start inching away slowly if they saw L on the street! (Incidentally, I'm not saying that any of the above's creepiness is a bad thing, in fact, I love them to death for it) /Rage-filled rant
