I created this picture a month after I left my first account on dA, a little less than two years ago.This is a character which I have kept (and still keep) under lock and key, not letting anyone know about them and their significance with the exception of people I've known for a while and trust. This is because of the major risk of spoilers in the storyline I've been planning since I joined IZ in the first place. (There's a comic planned, shhhhh)
Until he's ready to be let loose online, we'll call him Number 374.

I posted this because it led to an extremely significant development in the current style of my artwork. With this art as the guinea pig I developed an MS Paint method of blending several layers of colors to form overlapping gradients. It wasn't until this picture that I implemented it full throttle, though:
For the past three weeks I have been working on the next implementation of this method, using Shardken. It's estimated to be done within the next week.
The method makes a beautiful effect, but the bad thing is... it makes the art take 5x longer to get done :'D
Ask anyone I've gotten to critique it so far. FUUU

Are there rules for the flea game? Is the flea part of the background or is it like an actual little bug somewhere?

Well, the hidden ZonZon flea is very simple: it's a 19x23 pixel flea that is hidden in a picture; it is camouflaged into the color of whatever it's hiding on. The flea pixel I use is the same in every picture I hide it in. If you comment on my artwork claiming to have found a flea and you're the first person to find it, I'll ask you to note me (or skype me, if you have me on skype) with a screenshot of where it is. If its correct, you get a prize that varies depending on the difficulty rating of that particular hidden flea.
Easy = 50-100 points
Medium = 300 points or colored and shaded MS Painting
Hard = 300 points and colored and shaded MS Painting
Very Hard = 1 month Premium Membership and colored and shaded MS Painting
But on very rare occasions I will hide a flea in a piece of art and not tell anyone. If you manage to find a flea in a piece of art that I never announced had a flea, then it's double the prize. But beware because those ones tend to be a lot harder to find than others, and you can't guarantee any particular piece of art will have a flea in the first place.
The flea on this particular art is medium difficulty. But RayRay already found it so you won't win a prize on this one.
