Printmaking and collage go well together.  In some of my recent work I have cut apart and collaged with prints over prints. Although in some cases I've called it "construction." I took a workshop with printmaker John Willis who uses the term.  I've borrowed liberally.

I should give that a try.  I have a bunch of old prints that can be repurposed.  I just looked up John Willis and his work is also beautiful.

Let me know how it goes.
It's a great way to use all those prints we can't seem to part with -- those that are just a little out of register, wiped a bit too much, or too little, etc. etc. 
Yes, I like John's work very much. And he was a delight as a teacher.

I'm part of this of portfolio project put together by a graduate student at Arizona State University, Rossitza Todorova. There are a total of 21 of us, and we all had to start three pieces and we were assigned three others in the group to send one to. In return, we would recieve three pieces from three other to work on. The goal is to have a Three distincr variable editions to exhibit at the Southern Graphic Printmaking Conference in Milawaukee, Michigan in the Spring of 2013.

The Three pieces I got in return are soo beautiful, it's hard for me to add to them!
