My entry for the Tomb Raider: Reborn Contest.

This game features a younger, more vulnerable Lara Croft; and that's exactly how I've decided to portray her in my painting-- by giving her the strong look she's always known to have, yet at the same time allowing this new, fearful and insecure expression visualize on her face.
I tried lots of gestures and poses to complement this.

From that I went for one showing her escaping a terrifying fiery situation.

She was painted pretty much entirely from Scratch. No screenshots/photographs were used for tracing/matting etc. I used my own photographs to add texture to her top and to make the gun. Stuff like dirt, blood, bandage texture, bow texture, wounds etc. were all achieved using dual brush. Needless to say I gave the highest importance to her facial features and expression (especially her eyes).

Many hours and nothing but passion was put into this piece. Hoping for the best outcome-- and for you all to enjoy.
