"These massive predatory “terror birds” dwelt in the grassy lowlands of the Vapour Islands, feeding on anything they could kill with vicious kicks and blows from their axelike beaks. Like the Vastatosaurus, their remains were subjected to genetic tests in 2005 that hinted at their being artificially bred by a civilization in the ancient past.

Our first encounter with this creature was a bit anticlimactic. We had just struggled out of our first encounter with a Piranhadon, a nightmarish experience that had left four of our number dead. When we heard something crashing in the nearby undergrowth, our cook Lumpy opened fire immediately. We heard loud squawking and howling in the bushes, and tore through to find the mortally wounded bird flapping and croaking on the ground. Lumpy put a few more bullets in its head to end its misery, and we documented and dissected it for further study."

-Reality check: this is the Terror Bird from the 2005 version of "King Kong". I do not own the rights, etc etc...
