Description
At 3 feet tall (about a meter), this terror bird from the Oligocene was special. It may have had the abikity of flight. Its build is very similar to a seriema's, but a tad more robust.Related content

As far I known, bathornithids are recorded since the Eocene, meanwhile that Psilopterus is from the Oligocene to Miocene... I'll say that probably both families and the seriemas diverged during the Paleocene.
