Happy Halloween!
Autumn is my favorite season
while this style of dress can easily look unflattering on just about anyone, I love how the sweeping folds of fabric look here
This dress is soo comfy! I love it! but I probably will feel a bit conspicuous in this bright colour. heh.

This sooooo beautiful...I wish I had more time/monies to make my own clothing similar to this.
I did, however, get inspired by you and I made a long, flowing skirt and I wear it with SOOOOOOOOOO much. It goes to the ground and is made of this crinkled green fabric that looks lovely with ym corset (which I've not had the guts to wear in public yet ^^). I'm still wanting to make a little "bodice" like the one in this picture. I just need to get some decent fabric for it...

I just found a GORGEOUS ribbed royal blue cotton knit fabric at Walmart that would go PERFECT with this style of dress. I just bought some of it (5 yards) and I plan to make a long gown similar to Eowyn's "shieldmaiden" gown. Later, when I have more money to spent on sewing, I plan to get some black velvet or suede and make the "surcoat". I want the whole ensemble to be water themed since I have very dark hair and pure blue eyes.
I'm praying that I will have extra fabric for either a long skirt and/or a "peasant blouse" with gathered sleeves much like your sleeves in this picture.
We'll see. Thanks for the inspiration! I just love your sense of style because it's so elegant, feminine, and very modest.

Well I found a plain black velveteen dress at the thrift store that I plan on using for the top. I'm hoping to get some embroidery thread or decent jacquard trim to use for the edges and embellishments. Getting time to work on this will be the pain.

aye, I like a variety of different styles, and while I'd like to sometimes make purely accurate outfits, it's also fun to combine different periods and give my own twist
