it says
"to admire the mystical beauty of nature, one must have a balanced mind"
(fire here is nature, standing on those stones is the balance)
this is one of the first mystics of the world
beautiful!

Neat...
Your continued interest in what I can only think of as abnormal body forms is taken in what seems a new direction here. Usually your forms are at least given the normal number of limbs - not so here.
A comment on powerlessness, perhaps? Inability to change things?
I agree that the figure at the center of this work seems to be in precarious straights. Not sure how best to characterize what's going on, except they seem to be ignoring their risks, and perhaps about to be surprised - blindsided, even - by something 'new'
Or, perhaps aware of these challenging circumstances, the figure looks beyond for hope, for inspiration...
The art is of your 'normal' style - highly detailed in nigh-abstract patterns contrasting with other, simpler figures and motifs. As previously commented, not a normal figure for you, but there're some clear similarities as well as differences.
I think I feel sorry for that figure. Not a great place to be, IMO - and a place many can say they've been, sadly.
Thanks for sharing another interesting piece of work!

This has the mood of a scene from an animated movie.
The character is about to discoverthat he has been completely mistaken, having taken no aount of the radiant power that suddenly confronts him.

I get the feeling that the orange parts are hot lava or fire and the only safe place to stand on are the pile of stones.
Maybe knowing the dangers but still are willing to take the risk of the situation. Kind of when someone finaly accepts one's fate, i know this will happen but i don't care about the results.
