Luchia in the Bath.

The pink pearl princess (and the aqua pearl, Hanon for that matter) both seem to really enjoy their bubble baths. With the little bubble-bath bottle (I really don't know the technical name) they are able to create lots of suds for the times that Hippo interupts with some sort of crisis.

As for mermaids in the bathtub, I've had a tough time finding art that I like. Maybe that's because I'm looking for a certain pose that just doesn't work- most bathtubs in human society aren't built for mermaids. I do know that there are oversized bathtubs- ones usually a bit longer and wider- but they're not often seen in the average house. This particular view of Luchia works well, though.

I'm quite pleased with this lineart- originally it was just Luchia, the suds, the tub and the bottle; the background was added in Paint of all places. The suds were colored in Photoshop (thanks again to the cloud filter.)

I am reminded of how badly I want to watch the rest of the Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch series in English. Ugh! Either Lunar Anime needs to finish the translation or ADV Films need to license this for US distribution.
