Personality:
A very loyal person who love his emperor and his kingdom so much. He always think his emperor before himself to make He Ji a better emperor.

Han Ying is a smart and careful person. He always complete his work perfectly and help his emperor to solve those people who have bad mind on them. He also helps to solve those accounting and be as a diplomatist. Sometimes he easily get sick because of getting too much work.

History:
Han Ying's parents was died in a blizzard and he was brought into the palace to serve the emperor. He was amazed by the power and the wisdom of He Ji and decided to follow him forever.

After He Ji's death, he followed his emperor will to help the new emperor, MingTian, to be a better emperor. "My biggest failure is never able to stop his leaving." This is his deepest pain in his heart.

Always running around with XieYe to find the running new emperor who always drop down his works and leave a big mess for them.
He wish to talk with HeJi more since he knew from MingTian who can see HeJi that his soul is still around.

He is being nice to everyone unless you touch his taboo.
He was twice bullied by others when he was still a beginner in the palace but he learnt to make revenge on them with his cold smiley face.

He Ji is his biggest weakness and YangLu is second. You can see, he loves his emperor more than his lover.

Romance of HanYing and YangLu:
Hanying went out from the palace to make do secret research and met YangLu when he was tricked by the merchants when buying jewelry. Seeing his stupid smiling and get mad to see a stupid like him (lolz), HanYing saw this scene and argues with the merchant and proved the item is fake and not rare and expensive as the merchant claims.

YangLu takes an interest in HanYing, at first taken by his pretty face and cleverness. He starts following HanYing around day by day with his normal carefree attitude, helping HanYing along when he runs into trouble. As he learn more about HanYing he begins to think he really likes him, but he doesn't know how to show it other than acting his usual idiotic self hoping they can stay together longer.

Although HanYing feels quite annoyed for his following, but in the end he finally put down his prejudice on him and starting trust on him.

Near the end of HanYing's research, YangLu learns HanYing is actually a close aid of the north emperor when he saw his imperial brand. YangLu gets even more confused because he likes HanYing but hates imperial authorities. In his confusion he reveals that back in his home kingdom, his family was helpful to the authorities but later was wrongly accused of treason for the authorities' own benefit.

He yells that people in power cannot be trusted and he doesn't know how to trust HanYing. HanYing felt hurt and told that YangLu even act like an idiot in the beginning and become another way to betray his trust on him. (Maybe he gets angry because his dear emperor was included in YangLu's scolding too? XD)

They get into argument, hurting each other's feelings and went their separate ways.

In the end,
rebels had been tailing HanYing but because he was with YangLu they held back, now is their chance and they kidnapped HanYing. YangLu off cooling his head realizes he went too far accusing HanYing of things that happened in the past. HanYing is not the same as those corrupted authorities and he shouldn't judge HanYing's character just from his rank.

Somehow YangLu learns HanYing is kidnapped by rebels and rescues him. They resolve their differences and learn their love for the other is mutual
