Am I the only one who thinks the structure of the sentence is a bit off?
This would have made more sense to me:
"Reading poetry really inspires me not to read poetry." OR
"I find reading poetry really inspiring; as it inspires me not to read poetry".
And for all those who find this offensive, it is not something to be taken seriously. I love poetry but I also appreciate someone who is expressing himself (Its not out rightly offensive anyway) . And "creative" self expression gets extra points.

People who don't like a certain style of literature generally don't like reading it, and trying to read it only would make them dislike it more. How is that offensive?

Its a douchebag thing to say. Its ok not to like reading, i dont like it myself, but I'm ashamed of it and being dumb isnt something to brag about imo. The world is quite full of people who despise culture already, it's not cool to make a poster and advertise that.
Also, imagine it sai *insert your favorite type of art here* instead of poetry. I wouldn't laugh.

I can imagine any form of art inserted here and it would be funny. Yeah, it probably wouldn't be as funny, but it's an opinion. Someone will always disagree with you and someone will always be stupid, but pointing out any certain uninteresting instance is more or less petty and needless.

What you want is censorship, it's funny how it's ok to draw Jesus, Mohammed and different political figures in embarrassing or stupid situations.
